'81+ book allows 11 N·m — too high for these threads. Gentle, and stop at the first sign of the washer crushing out. This row covers the hose-to-caliper / hose-to-master banjo bolt only. Rigid pipe-to-master and pipe-to-caliper flare unions, and the later brake systems, are different connections with their own figures — the single “All” value this table used to carry conflated all of them.
