BMW-WSM7 In three stages: 15 → 35 → 39 N·m, cross-pattern. This is what the workshop manual prints, identically on the 12.77 and 11.78 sheets. Earlier revisions of this guide published 25 ft-lb / 34 N·m and told you never to exceed 26 — that is below BMW's own minimum, and the instruction to stay under 26 contradicted the factory manual. Corrected. Rocker studs oily; re-oil if squeaking.
