BMW-WSM7 §33 1981 sheet: level check screw 10 N·m (7.4 ft-lb). This guide previously capped it at 5.5 ft-lb as shop caution; the factory figure is a touch higher — but this is still the plug that gets stripped because people reach for the 17 ft-lb drain figure above it. Approach the number, don’t attack it.
